gas inlet types: 
1.gas -specific  inlet  probe conforming to BS ,AMERICAN, GERMAN, FRENCH 
2.1/8'' NPT female-threadde inlet 
3.Bullnose nipple with 3/8'' BSPNUT.   Other country-specific direct and remote-fitting configurations are

gas outlet types: 
1.body has female thread -use BMI 'universal'tubing nipple 
2.body has a 9/16'' UNFmale thread -use tubing nipple(oxygen) 
mounting: 
1.direct-probe fits into wall-mounted gas -specific socket(antirotation device maintains flowmeter upright) 
2.remote-kit available with 2m colour-coded flexible hose,and a gas-specific connector the flowmeter is mounted 
remotely from  the gas source on: 
a)wall/machine-mouted V-plate 
b)medical rail. 
NOTE:the rail-mounting kit utilises a "universal' rail clamp,allowing attachment to BMI,ohmeda,vickers"modura",
din rail section. 
operation and use 
2.service & maintence 
do dot disassemble when connected to a source of pressure 
caution 
repairs must only be undertaken by suitably trained personnel. 
the pre-use checks in section 2, and the leakage check in section 3.2 must be carried out after any disassembly 
3.tube assembly 
outer tube 
if the cover tube is cracked, withdraw the unit from service and renew: 
1.disconnect the flowmeter from the pressure source 
2.open the flow control valve to relieve any contained pressure. 
3.hold the unit vertically (to retain the flow tube and ball )unscrew the cover tube and lift off. 
calibrated tube and indicator ball 
4.lift off the flow tube , taking care not to let the ball roll out 
5.remove the tube connector adaptor and the cover tube o-ring 
6.fit a new cover tube o-ring at the base of the body. 
7.fit a new tube adaptor. Check orientation,as illustrated. 
8.fit the flow tube , and ball over the adaptor. 
9.position the tube with the scale towards the front of the unit. 
10.fit the outer tube,and screw clockwise into the flowmeter body.
